Monthly Operations Charge

A monthly fixed charge used for the cost of operations and administration services.

Reserve Fee

A monthly fixed fee used for the natural gas system betterment and replacement programs set in place for continued operation of the co-op.

L.A.F for Stony Plain (1)

Local access fees collected by West Parkland Gas on behalf of the Town of Stony Plain. Based on the monthly operations charge.

Wholesale Gas Rate

The cost of gas that West Parkland Gas pays per gigajoule(Gj) to Gas Alberta. Gas Alberta sets its own monthly rate.

Transmission Rate

The Gas Alberta variable rate for the purchase of the wholesale natural gas and the West Parkland Gas loss recovery rate, which is a percentage of the wholesale gas rate.

Distribution Rate

A rate based on monthly gigajoules used for the cost of operation, maintenance, and construction of the co-op’s natural gas system.

Local Access Fees collected by West Parkland Gas on behalf of the Town of Stony Plain. Based on the total amount of the distribution rate.

Federal Fuel Charge

West Parkland Gas collects the Federal Fuel Charge on behalf of the Canadian Government. The rate is set by the Canadian Government. For more information on the program, visit www.Canada.ca

Multiplier

A Measurement Canada calculation to convert cubic meters to gigajoules.

Terms

2% per month will be charged on overdue accounts. Payments received after the due date may not show on this bill.

Payments

This account may be paid by mail, in person at the West Parkland Gas office, or at most financial institutions. Payments must be received in our office on or before the due date to avoid late charges. Please note that payments made via online banking may take up to 5 days to be processed.

Moving

When terminating your service, West Parkland Gas requests a minimum of 48 hours notice. The member/customer will be responsible for all charges until such title transfer is complete.

Equal Billing

Equal Billing is a budget billing plan spreading charges over 12 months.

Automatic Withdrawal

Your monthly payment automatically withdrawn from your account each month.
