ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
WEST PARKLAND GAS CO-OP’s
Annual General Meeting (AGM) is typically held in mid-April each year. An announcement for the AGM is sent out with the February and March bills, on WPG’s social media, as well as in the Stony Plain reporter.
The 2025 AGM will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd. Doors open at 5:45pm, dinner at 6:15 with the meeting starting at 7:00pm. Blueberry Community Hall – 53109 RR15 (on RR15 between HWY 16 and HWY 16A)
There are four main components to the AGM:
Report of the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors submits a report of the previous year’s operations.
Auditor’s Report
The Auditor submits a report on the financial statement of West Parkland Gas Co-op. The report also contains the Auditor’s opinion as to whether the financial statement presents fairly, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, the financial position of the Co-op and the results of the Co-op’s operations for the period under review.
Appointment of the Auditor
The appointment of Auditor is made on an annual basis. If more than one Auditor is nominated, a voting process is held. Each member is entitled to one vote.
Election of Directors
Each year, there are three director positions available for nomination and election and Directors are elected for a term of three years. If more than three nominations are received (including those Directors that are standing for re-election), an election process is held. Each member is entitled to one vote for up to three director positions.
If you are a member of West Parkland Gas Co-op and are interested in joining the Board of Directors, nominations for the 2025 Board of Directors are open as of January 2nd, 2025. The nomination package can be downloaded here (link to nom. package). Nomination packages are due by 4:30pm on March 7th, 2025.
