Keith Bobey - DIRECTOR

Keith Bobey is a registered Professional Engineer who obtained his degree from the University of Alberta.  He has lived in Parkland County with his wife Donna for over thirty-five years.  Together they raised two children who both live in the County with their families.  For over thirty years, Keith has worked in the community for Parkland County.  As a longstanding Director of West Parkland Gas Co-op Ltd. he thoroughly enjoys serving the community through representing the Gas Co-op’s members and working at the County.

Jordan Campbell - DIRECTOR

Jordan has been a proud member of Parkland County for over 25 years, he is currently employed as the Director of Field Operations at Keller Construction Ltd. With a deep passion for his family and work, he is dedicated to driving the West Parkland Gas Co-ops’ success while ensuring high-level contributions to the board. His commitment to excellence is reflected in both his professional and personal life.

Cheryl Dawes - DIRECTOR

Cheryl is a recognized and respected retired teacher in Parkland County. She has served on a variety of educational committees, church councils and community initiatives. She is married and has raised her 2 adult children in Parkland County. She has been a director for 4 years and has especially enjoyed  the education and training courses to educate her on helping to contribute effectively for West Parkland Gas. Personally, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, supporting health and wellness groups, and traveling. She lives by the motto, “ to learn something new each day.

Michelle Gallagher - CHAIRPERSON

Michelle is a lawyer and local business owner. She has been on the West Parkland Gas Co-op Ltd. board since 2011. She has extensive board experience on both corporate and not-for-profit boards, including in board chair and committee chair positions. Prior to her civilian career, Michelle was an army officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.  Michelle’s personal interests include physical fitness, travelling around the world with her family, and spending time with her pets.

John Gilchrist is a respected figure in financial management with a history spanning several decades. A long-term resident of Parkland County, he has made significant contributions to the local community through his involvement in various organizations. Known for his commitment to lifelong learning, John continuously seeks to expand his knowledge and skills, inspiring others in his field and beyond.

I have lived and worked in Parkland County for 30+ years, where my husband and I have raised our 2 children on the family farm. My background is in nursing, farming and local business. I am passionate about the cooperative values on which West Parkland Gas was founded and am proud to serve on the Board of Directors.

Brock Polasek - MANAGER/SECRETARY TREASURER

Brock joined the West Parkland Gas team in 2018, bringing decades of experience in the natural gas distribution industry. With a diverse background working with both large regulated distributors and small natural gas co-ops across Alberta, he offers valuable expertise in ensuring reliable and efficient gas services.

Jason Svenningsen - DIRECTOR

Jason Svenningsen grew up on a farm east of Ponoka before settling in the Parkland County area to raise his family. With 30 years of experience in the energy industry as a land agent, he is a dedicated community supporter and has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Stony Plain for 15 years. Committed to growth and learning, Jason continuously seeks opportunities to expand his skills and knowledge in his professional life.

Dan Tompkins - DIRECTOR

Dan Tompkins, with deep rural roots in Parkland County, is a dedicated Power Engineer and Pressure Equipment Inspector. He raised four children in the area, embracing a lifestyle that blends family, farming, and industry. Alongside his technical work, Dan shares his expertise by teaching for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), fostering the next generation of professionals. His strong connection to rural life and commitment to his community shape both his personal and professional endeavors.
